## About Paper Moon

Paper Moon is a touch-based farming exploration game set on floating islands in the sky. Inspired by Harvest Moon, you collect resources on each island and use them to build bridges across to the next one, gradually expanding your world.

What made Paper Moon unique was its art — every level was hand-painted with acrylics on real canvas, then scanned and integrated into the game. The result was a warm, textured visual style that felt nothing like typical game art.

Built for iPad in the early days of touch gaming, Paper Moon combined the gentle loop of farming and resource collection with the thrill of reaching a new island and seeing what was painted on the other side.

## Developer Comment

Paper Moon was an experiment in mixing physical art with game design. We painted levels with acrylics on canvas and scanned them into the game — it gave the world a warmth and texture that you just can't get digitally.

The Harvest Moon-inspired loop of farming resources to build bridges to new sky islands was a simple but satisfying core. It was an early project, but the idea of hand-painted game worlds is something we still think about.
