## About Marisol

Marisol is a retro platformer created in collaboration with Unga Klara, a renowned theater in Stockholm. The game brings the character Marisol from stage to screen in a side-scrolling adventure inspired by classics like Super Mario.

Levels span multiple genres — traditional platforming, puzzle sections, and auto-runner sequences — giving each stage its own pace and style. The clown Pajazo appears between levels as a charming checkpoint save system, tying the theatrical world into the game mechanics.

Released for iOS and web, Marisol was an early project that explored the intersection of theater storytelling and game design, adapting a stage production into an interactive experience.

## Developer Comment

Marisol was a collaboration with Unga Klara theater in Stockholm — adapting a stage character into a game. It was one of our earliest projects and a fun challenge to translate theatrical storytelling into platformer level design.

The mix of platforming, puzzles, and auto-runner sections gave us room to experiment with different gameplay styles within one project. Pajazo the clown as a checkpoint system was a small detail we were proud of — it kept the theater world alive in the game mechanics.
